Playground fun

Monday the boys and I had a busy but fun day.  We visited with an old friend and her new beautiful twin girls.  It was so fun to catch up and love on some sweet little 2 month olds!  After we did that, I surprised the boys with a picnic at the playground.  We didn't get to spend as much time as I wanted since it was so hot but we still had fun.  It was so hot the boys couldn't do any of the slides which was a major bummer since they both love sliding.

We went to Pope Field playground since we were over on that side of town.  We really like that one cause it has a covered picnic table area, a good playground for both the boys, and there is a horse and some goats right next to it.  Ever time we go, the boys are able to get the horse to come right up to the fence just by speaking...yelling....to it.  This time though they also had a few goats come over.  Tucker was making me nervous with the goats though because he would stick his whole arm in the fence to pet them and I didn't want them to bite or snap at him.  None of them did thankfully.

Jonah and Tucker did get to swing a good bit which they don't usually do.  At one point, Jonah thought it was funny to kick me and try to knock the camera out of my hand.  Little stinker.  Better be glad I love him! lol  Tucker doesn't usually like to swing at all but was having fun swinging next to his big brother.

Here's some pictures of our fun 20 minutes at the playground:

Tucker trying to swing on the wierd tunnel thing.

JOnah's fake smile.  It was SO HOT.

They both tried to go up the slides but quickly came back down.

Boys talking to the horse.  We mostly stayed over at the fence with the
animals since there was lots of shade.

Talking and petting the goats.  This one looked pregnant but I think it was a male goat.

Tucker wasn't sure about the swing at first but quickly warmed up to it once
he saw big brother having fun.

Jonah really enjoyed the swings this time.

Interesting different kind of swing.  Much safer.  Jonah kept telling me to come closer so he could kick me. lol So nice to Mommy!

Tucker really warmed up to the swings!

My big handsome Jonah

Hope you are having a fantastic day!

4th of July fun

Our 4th of July was so fun! We had a wonderful day out in the sun at my In-Laws house,  Jeremy had to do some work on my father-in-law's, Rex, truck so he headed over there early in the morning to get started.  I packed up the boys bikes, inflateable pool, sidewalk chalk, and bubbles and headed over around 10.  We unloaded, filled the pool, and had fun!  This is the first time we have been able to do the inflateable pool since its been so hot and we don't have a water hose outside.  So the boys really enjoyed it and I really enjoyed watching them and joining in some!

Jeremy got done with his work around 2 so headed home for naps.....which were heavenly....then went to eat at our favorite Chinese buffet.  We debated going to a fireworks show in Easley or Greenville but since most of them didn't start until 9 or 9:30 decided not to.  We knew the traffic would be awful getting home and Jeremy had to work early in the morning so we just picked up a small variety pack of fireworks and sparkelers and headed home  We didn't wait until it was all the way dark but it was close enough around 8:30 so had a blast shooting them off.  Jonah was all into all of them.  Tucker couldn't figure out if he liked the sparkelers or if he was afraid of them but he held them anyways.  Both boys loved all the other fireworks.  Tucker even loved the smoke from them. lol

Here's a few pictures from our fun filled day:

Jonah blowing bubbles.

Tucker filling up the pool.

Water gun fight with Uncle Austin.

Tucker and Jonah laughing about the water gun fight.

Poppa even got in on the fun!

Tucker riding his bike.  He found a small hill on Nonna and Poppa's from walkway that he loved going up and down. He rode his bike more than anything that day.

Sidewalk chalk fun.

Racing bikes together.

Playing fetch with Oscar.

Picnic inside at Nonna's and Poppa's.

Our little firwork assortment.  Mostly ended up being small fountains that just lit up really pretty.

Sweet Tucker after eating watermelon.

Sparkelers!

Tucker and his sparkeler.  He kept shaking them trying to blow them out.  Didn't quite understand the concept of it being lit up.

Jonah  had a blast with his sparkeler!

Waiting for Daddy to light the fireworks!

Me and my big boys.  Love Tucker's face. lol

Amazed at the fireworks and tired after a long day.

Biggest firework we had. lol.  Wasn't much but it made us happy and we were done by the boys normal bedtime. :)

Hope you all had a fabulous 4th of July.

Tucker's 2nd Birthday Party

Tucker's 2nd birthday was on Thursday, June 28.  I truly can't believe he is two now! He is growing like crazy.  We had his birthday party at our house the Saturday that followed.  It was 104 degrees outside that day which made our house result in being about 85 even with fans going.  It was hot. :( But we still had a good time.  We love to have a big grill-out and usually do bbq for the boys parties.  This year was no different.  Jeremy smoked 4 boston butts and they were phenomenal! That man in a master at his grill! lol We ended up having a good many people that couldn't come due to certain issues but still had  good turnout.

The menu consisted of: Bbq boston butt sandwiches, bbq rabbit and groundhog, hot dogs, hot dog chili, coleslaw, broccoli salad, rancho beans (like baked beans but much better), banana pudding, brownies, and cupcakes.  We had way to much food, as usual, but we like to have leftovers.  I didn't try the rabbit and groundhog since I'm not supposed to eat wild meat, but heard it was really good.  Jonah actually tried it and like it.

Here's a bunch of pictures from the party:
Decorations around the living room.  We had a Thomas the train party.

We borrowed some tables and chairs from Jeremy's boss which worked great.  THis was before the party.

Big boy eating his cupcake.  They were supposed to be dark blue with red icing but I forgot to buy more food coloring so they turned out light blue and pink.  Mommy fail.  :(
Jonah ate only the frosting off his cupcake.  Love the fake smile!

 Me and the birthday boy.

Tucker opening presents with Alexandra, his cousin, helping.  He is so funny with the tongue out.

Silly cousins! Alexandra, Tucker, and Bentley.

Tucker with Nona, Jeremy's mom, and Uncle Austin, Jeremy's younger brother.

The birthday shirt I made for Tucker.  Turned out much better than I planned! I was just going to add the 2 to a plain blue tshirt I already had but really wanted to add more so I added the sleeves and bottom part.  I LOVE it!

SIlly birthday boy in the shirt.

Tucker had a great birthday! Thank you to all the friends and family that came out and celebrated with us!

Catching up

I feel like lately I have had nothing really to blog about but its really I just don't feel like sitting down to write it out. We have been busy but in a good way and I need to record some memories so I don't forget. I feel like most of my blog posts have just been recipes or how to's and nothing is wrong with that but I also want to record family memories. As our family grows, I look forward to looking back at these post and remembering all the wonderful family times. So this post is just a quick catch-up of the past few weeks.

Lately, I just wanna be here......Sullivan's Island.

Jeremy and I are doing wonderful, as usual.  I am so thankful for the man that he is and is becoming.  I truly love him more everyday and I pray that I never lose these feelings for him.  We still don't have many date nights but truly cherish our time together after the boys go to bed.  We usually just relax, talk, and watch a tv show together.  He is still loving his motorcycle.  Lately, we have had a good bit of time together on the weekends and that has truly been great.   We both love spending time together with just us and the boys even if its just staying at home.  I can't believe we will be married for 7 years this September just because it has been so great.  Don't get me wrong we have our problems and life throws us drama many times but we get through it together.  I truly can't imagine being married to any other man.  He works so hard for our family and for me to be able to stay at home with our boys.  I love you Jeremy Pressley with all my heart! You are my hero.
Jeremy and our boys.  Sadly I have no recent pictures of the two of us.  Need to fix that!
Jonah is growing and becoming such a smart little boy.  He is truly amazing and I love how his little brain is growing and absorbing so much knowledge.  As much as I hate having to answer at least 400 questions a day, I truly am trying to keep my patience and answer him the best I can.  He will be 5 in October and that just blows my mind.  Five just seems so old! We are not sure as to if we are going to get him tested to see if he will qualify for K4 due to some factors going on in our life but I do know that he is really smart for his age.  He is still loving his Treehouse class at church which Jeremy and I both love. He is still in karate and loving it so far.  He continues to be a great big brother and teacher although he loves to mess with Tucker. I can't wait to see what the future holds for Jonah!
Jonah with our new pet iguana, Speedy Gonzalas.
Tucker is growing like a weed! He just turned 2 last week and just seems so big now.  He is officially a little boy and not a baby at all anymore. I think if I wasn't pregnant with #3, I would be very sad to see him growing so fast but knowing I will have another baby keeps me happy.  He is just like parrot who repeats everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING! LOL  He can say some words that Jonah still has trouble with.  He is really into naming all of our family members right now.  I have pictures of our families on our fridge so we can see them and Tucker loves going up to it and naming the people.  He loves playing with his big brother but also likes to have play time by himself.  He is just starting to tell on Jonah when he does stuff to him which does not make Jonah happy at all. ;)  He has just moved up to the 2 year old class at church called Pop's Garage and absolutely loves it.  I think he was getting bored in the toddler class cause he didn't even look back at us when we dropped him off this past Sunday.   I can't wait to see how he reacts to the new baby and I know he will be a big brother.  I can't wait to see what the future holds for Tucker!
Tucker and I.  This was taken on his 2nd birthday.
Baby #3 is doing great! I am 17 weeks and a few days.  Starting to show a good bit lately and have moved to mostly maternity clothes although I can wear a few regular shirts still.  My blood pressure has been great so far and the heart rate has stayed around 150.  The start of this pregnancy was so rough but praise the Lord I have had no sickness for a little over 2 weeks now! I am slowly starting to get my energy back although I wake up tired every morning.  I get worn out really easily with this one especially if I have been out in the heat.  But I think so far I am doing well.  Our next appointment is our gender ultrasound July 26 and I am so excited! I still feel like its a girl just because this one has been so different than with my boys but we will see in a two weeks.  Jeremy really doesn't care as long as the baby is healthy and I agree but truly desire a girl this time.  Can't wait to reveal what we are having soon!!!  Once we find out what the baby is I will have a good bit of sewing to do, especially if its a girl.  I already have a list started  of a few things I need to make like cloth diapers and a baby carrier.
15 weeks baby bump taken at the mall.

17 weeks baby bump looking down..

My Etsy shop has been empty the past few weeks and it is truly because I have had no energy to do much.  This past week I did start sewing some things and I am still sewing this week.  My goal is to have at least 30 items to list by the end of the month.  I already have 20 items made so far so I might go over that but I feel like its a good start.  I want to really keep up with it this time and not let it run out before I have more items up.  I am still loving my new sewing machine and love when I finish a project and it turns out better than I expected.  I may or may not have already made 2 dresses for our possible little girl. ;) I figure if we find out its a boy, I can always sell the dresses so I don't lose anything.

Well I think that about does it.  I will be posting a few family fun things in the day or so.  If you are friends with me on facebook, all the pics and posts with be a repeat but you can still enjoy it.

Have a great night!
