Yogurt Cool Whip Freeze

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a great week. It's been a slow, sick week at ours thus the no blog posts this week. My youngest, Tucker, has been really stopped up and coughing since Tuesday and my oldest started the same yesterday. So between that and my normal homemaker and mommy duties plus working on some kids consignment sales stuff its been a busy but not completely fun week. Thankfully, both boys seem to be on the mend so here's to a greet weekend ahead!
Sick but still sweet Tucker
I wanted to share a simple cool treat with you that I literally threw together one day last week. I made homemade yogurt in the crock-pot the beginning of last week which turned out fairly well for my first time. I wasn't happy with how thin it turned out but I found many uses for it still. I used some in our awesome green smoothies. I also made some strawberry banana flavored yogurt drinks like the ones they sell in the store. They turned out really well but my kids weren't big fans.
Completed yogurt.  Made 8 cups for $3.22.
At the end of last week, I had one of the strawberry banana yogurt drinks(about 1/2 cup) left. I wasn't sure of how long it would still be fresh so I looked for a way to use it up. I looked in the fridge and found a half of a big container(about 8 oz) of Cool Whip that was close to expiration. It was like a lighbulb went off in my head! lol I combined the two, froze it, and made a sweet treat. It turned out really well. Nice and creamy. Light strawberry flavor. But with a Cool Whip aftertaste. If you like Cool Whip as much as I do, you will love this! And you could customize it to the flavors that you want. This may work with homemade whipping cream but not sure.

After its frozen.  (Please excuse my dirty stovetop. lol.  I promise it got cleaned right after I enjoyed this!)

Yogurt Cool Whip Freeze
8 oz. Cool Whip
1/2 cup-1 cup  preferred flavored yogurt or yogurt smoothie

Mix well in the Cool Whip container.  Freeze.  ENJOY!!!!

This would be good topped with chocolate or granola or candy but its also good by itself!
Let me know if you try it and like it!
Hope you all have a great weekend!!!
